Happy National Curry Week!
How hot can you go? Whilst the humble korma keeps being voted as Britain’s favourite Indian dish, extreme spice lovers are growing in number! One of the hottest curries ever is the Chicken Naga, which is made with a lot of Naga pepper seed. These seeds reach a whopping 855,000 on the Scoville Scale – that’s 100 times hotter than jalapeños!
However, the hottest curry is the ‘Flaming Fiery Phaal’, which is made from the Scorpion and Naga peppers, two of the hottest chilli peppers known to man! It is so hot that even the packaging has multiple warning signs for shoppers – and the Scorpion pepper measures a phenomenal 1.5 million rating on the Scoville Scale! Think I’ll stick to korma…
